  • A universal standard for measuring should be used such as meters.

Plank time and Plank length is way to short to use for almost anything we do, light years is way to long for normal life, inches and feet are not only bad for calculations but are also used in only a few country it would do them could (in my opinion) for them to switch to the metric and metric time is also not very well suited for normal life. I think it would be best if science use appropriate units for their fields like Plank time, Plank length and light years and the stander for the world is metric and get rid of the empirical system. : )

Given that the technology nowadays is based on digital representation, which, in turn, is based on the binary numerical format - it would be reasonable (long-term) to employ a system based on multiples of 2. For example, like this:

    1 day = 32 hours
    1 hour = 32 minutes
    1 minute = 32 seconds
  • I prefer metric, it's just so much more logically consistent. Improbable to switch now that the Imperial units are so ingrained in the USA however.
