Which is better: pi or tau?

Pi is used in many mathematical operations, especially prevalent in Geometry where it is used to find area, volume, circumference, and trigonometric functions all the way up to Calculus. Tau is a manifesto made up to attack pi, with a supposed value of 300, but since it is not actually used mathematically, it has to be disregarded in this manner.

Pi is a lot more fun.  Want to screw with a magician?  Use pi when he tells you to pick a number between 1 and 10, or even 1 and 4.  You can't do that with tau.

You can say tau if it is between 1 and 10, but not 1 to 4. You can eat pie!

There is a growing movement for tau, but I personally prefer pi.

I think pau (1.5 times pi) as a compromise between the two is a joke.
