  • Absolutely. Saudi Arabia is a huge sponser of terrorism and I'm tired of supplying them with weapons to give to the terrorists

The only reason that the U.S supports Suadi Arabia is because of oil

  • @Zombieguy1987 you really think its that simple? especially with the massive amount of oil under united states territory, and the vast reserves the country has. How much oil do we get out of Saudi Arabia?

I know there's more to it, but come on. the U.S spends about 800billion dollars on the military. do you know how much oil is being used? That's not even including other transportation that needs it. after a while, all the oil under U.S territory will be used up, and the U.S will need to find oil some elsewhere

  • Trump does not understand how international trade works, if he thinks that Saudi Arabia has to "pay up" some sort of unpaid debt. I do not think he understands anything about trade in general, for that matter.

That said, Ron Paul is not exactly a mastermind in this regard either, his narrative on any subject coming down to the typical "What happens outside the US is none of our business".

Who I support on this is people like McCain (rest in peace), who want to collaborate with other nations based on the shared democratic ideals, and not on pure immediate financial and political profit considerations. That means being warm towards Taiwan, but cold towards China; being warm towards Israel, but cold towards Saudi Arabia; being warm towards Estonia, but cold towards Russia; being warm towards Panama, but cold towards Cuba.
