Kjos are liking to say that the KJV is the only or best Bible available today for English speaking user. I have panic attacks because I left the KJO movement, and I just feel like I left a cult. I am not going to disrespect the KJV, but I think it is wrong to elevate a Bible translation to be above the actual message of scripture. It is a high quality translation, but it is not the only or best Bible. I am willing to use scripture from the KJV to prove my point to KJOs if any are on this site. I will say it now: The selection of a Bible to read is a matter of personal liberty. I prefer literal translations ( don't ask), but if someone is new to English, mentally disabled, or very young, a moderate translation might work.

It undermines giving a reasonable defense for the trustworthiness of the transmission of scripture through the ages.

Religion itself has caused harm throughout history. only blaming the King James Version Only Movement is silly

There are many Religions that have caused harm, but she is not only blaming KJVO. She is just asking a question and looking for an honest evaluation.
