Why do people blame Jewish people for the death of Yeshua Jesus, when He IS very Jewish?
in Religion

Yeshua Jesus is Jewish so why do people blames Jewish people for His death? We are ALL sinners (Romans 3:23) and that includes Gentiles. The Bible says that salvation is of the Jewish people first, and then of the Gentiles. It makes no sense to hate Jewish people when they are just as human as Gentiles.

  • Because a lot of people are still anti semetic and will use any excuse to say Jews are evil

  • @WordsMatter It's so sad. All of this hate. I wish we could have religious tolerance and racil unity.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

  • The points in your original post don't follow. A victim's being Jewish doesn't mean that his killer can't be Jewish. Whether or not Jews did kill him, or whether or not he existed or anything else is a separate argument, as is whether his "Jewishness" is of any value and plays a part in any discussion. But the underlying point is that the religious beliefs of the various parties are immaterial.
  • The average Christian doesn't hate Jewish people. They would probably like to convert them, along with the rest of the world, because they believe in saving everyone.

"We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
  • And you accuse Christians of religious prejudices, but Muslims and Jews themselves are much more inclusive societies, rarely marrying outside of their religion.
"We're all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
  • Primarily because the Jewish Sanhedrin and Pharisees were responsible for the death of Christ...and that by His own admission (John 19:11).
  • @dbox So ae the Romans. The Romans are even more guilty because they directly killed Him.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

  • @K_Michael More lies. I never accused Christians.
Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

  • @YeshuaBought

No, Jesus was saying the Jews had the greater sin for handing him over to be crucified.
  • It does not matter what nationality those who took action against Jesus of Nazareth was. There are rotten fruits in every nationality/ethnicity, and Jewish people are no exception.

I am not very familiar with the facts behind the execution of Jesus, but if my memory does not fail me, his own countrymen went after him - in order to gain favor of the Romans, who did not trust them and saw the whole region as rebellious and untamed. In a way, betraying Jesus was an attempt to save their skins and their nation as a whole.

It is similar to how in Soviet Union during Stalin's era, or in Germany during Hitler's era, people would often file false reports on their acquaintances or neighbors, accusing them of sabotage and/or espionage. Doing that whitelisted them from persecution, to some extent.

  • @YeshuaBought ;
You implied that you were accusing Christians, because no one else believes in Christ.
