Dear Illegal Immigrants,

Please consider crossing our North border instead, Canada is there for you.  I hope you like snow and ice hockey. Good luck.

Arguments

  • Yes, they should put more security there.
  • Clearly the anti-illegal immigration issue at the States is intensifying.  I don't understand Canada's statement that the reason they are not worried is because it is currently not a major issue for them.  But shouldn't they think about their policy before it becomes a major issue - as it likely will.

  • Canada is just fine keeping their borders open.  So far the volume has not been an issue and it is unlikely that south border illegal immigrants would go all the way through the country to enter Canada.
It's kind of fun to do the impossible

  • No, but we should make sure anyone crossing from the US into Canada can't come back.  Anyone who can't tolerate a president being fairly elected and governing legally is un-American and were a much better country without them.

  • Yes, Canada is really taking a lot of risks by opening their border.
  • Canada is not changing its policies, it is simply keeping their borders open.  I think current immigration policy is fine for Canada.
