Yes, at the end of the day it's all entertainment, mainstream or not. They need to have either delegate award shows or the same ones with similar awards or he competing for the same awards.

The line is getting blurred. We see many youtubers producing a single person shoe with 50 million subscribers.  I dont think right now non-mainstream channels should get awarded at Oscar's, etc though

I disagree with @agsr , but he made a good point. In my belief, its much harder to make a movie than a YouTube video. Also, I'm aware of what it requires to edit, and you tubers think they have it bad. Movies take years to make.

That is a fair point.  I think though it is not about how hard it is to make, but what is entertainment value.  If. YouTuber generates a 10 minute video that would be a very simple idea, but generates more revenue than a full blown movie..would you still argue that movie was harder to make?
sometimes it's simple ideas that are best.
I would like to get opinion from @cany , who said he has a youtube channel with almost 2 million subscribers.
