in General

By agsragsr 851 Pts

  • No, we need a more traditional design not these new technology center open designs they have going on now.

Great for collaboration, bad for personal productivity. I like suggestions in the article

  • The design is great, it's the new modern thing that companies are working on. I work at a corporation myself and happen to think it's great. It's especially great for programmers like me, so this way, there is more communication. Another new staple is programemrs being one computer. Usally 2 check each other's code for quality assurance. I like both new methods.

@trumpinsukts, but are you distracted by all the visual and loud noise, not able to focus as much on design and coding?

  • I agree with @inc4t . The design is naturally distracting and the ranks are gone for the most part which is not good for authority level.
  • I think it depends on the individual. For myself, I find that open spaces with a lot of noise help me maintain a high working enthusiasm, as seeing and hearing people working all around me makes me want to do the same - but quiet secluded spaces are better for concentration, when I encounter a difficult problem in my research and need some time to organize my thoughts and try to create a plan on how to approach the problem.
