There are several programs in the US military for spending. One is the F/A 15 , which is expected to cost 1.5 trillion dollars. Several others cost billions and over a hundred billion as well. Is the US spending too much on military? In the spending bill, military budget went up even more topping over 500 billion dollars.

No, I think that we should be prepared for anything coming our way. With Trump in office some countries could attack us....... just my opinion

Yes. I think that the US is spending too much money on the military because we are about 20 trillion dollars in debt and a lot of those funds are from the cause of paying for aircraft, and weapon supplies. Also, there are way too much technical costs. Almost every single one of the branches of the military has stuff that all of the other ones have. For example, they all of the technology, they all of the aircrafts, they all have guns and weapons and they all have way too many vehicles.

@averyapro, great argument.  I agree with your insightful assessment. We are spending too much on military, amd should focus much more resources on domestic affairs.

@averyapro and whyTrump, I respectfully disagree.  Our military budget is too low.  We need to command respect from our allies and foes.  Our historic military spend was much higher as percentage of GDP and we need to get back to these levels. Without strong military, how will we have any leverage with all the craziness that's going on.  
We need military budget to evolve our capability with latest technology so we can continue to be World leaders long term.
