Yes, Toyota and other large car companies have money to spend and I'm sure it would work by then and possibly be out in production by then as well.

I think that either them or someone else will make technology work. This startup is a very small investment and a few may likely fail before they learn from others mistakes and will become sort of successful.  One day we will be questioning why cars didn't fly and look at current ground transportation similarly as we look today at buggies.
