By the same token, crime is committed by the group, not the individual - hence, say, every time someone murders someone, everyone should chime in and serve some jail time.

It does not matter how wealth is created; what matters is what contract defines who receives it. When I hire a gardener to tend to my farm, we agree that I pay the gardener the money, and he tends to my farm. Everyone gets something out of the deal as agreed, hence any further wealth redistribution is obsolete: we have already agreed on how to distribute it.

In case of taxes, the difference is that the contract is forced on people. Me and the gardener can discuss the terms and come to the agreement that works for both of us. But me and the government cannot discuss anything: I do not have the option to just refuse the deal, as the government will jail me for tax evasion if I try to.

This really is a lousy argument, sorry to say.
