Why 'try'? They already have the videos of the "helicopter on Mars";

just as they have the videos of the "Rovers-on-Mars", not that they'll show us anything more after robbing us of more Billion$.
Yes, for NASA this scam "IS Productive" .. for NASA, .. just as the Moon landing, Mars Rover landings were.

Why not stick with the "Trip-to-Mars School busses"?

Since when did NASA ever need an excuse to rob us of more billion$?

• NASA wants to try many things, they always have heavy funding requirements for them and take money, at least in part, from taxation.

This money is then assumed to be going to top secret space research that we are only entitled to hear the before and after of but never the 'during'.

Yeah I hear you @someone234
.. I was just wondering; which entertainment Industry makes the most profit, Sony, Disney or NASA?
Now Sony and Disney does put out some high quality entertainment, especially in movies, .. but what do we get from NASA? Some grade-school level CGI art, and a few desert photos taken through a red filter at astronomical prices, and their budget is assured by the World Banking system, which is our money. As for NASA shooting up rockets now and then, hey, that's their hobby. I used to shoot up rockets as a kid, many which ended up on rooftops, same as NASA's rockets end up in the oceans. We don't count hobbies which is for their own personal entertainment. So what else do we get from NASA? Even their sci-fi stories are pitifully poor: "NASA finds Tatooine-like planet in the Dagobah system" .. or: "NASA found 666 more black holes, which cannot be seen or detected with anything, but here is a third graders depiction of them!", .. pitiful, .. truly pitiful.

The atmospheric density on Mars is extremely low (below 1% of that of Earthen atmosphere), and as such the energetic efficiency of a helicopter vehicle on Mars is likely to make this plan financially catastrophic. Old good rovers have been used all this time for a reason.

That's just silly. "Mars" (Greenland) has nearly the same atmospheric density as the flat Earth.

Pseudoscience: noun; a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method.

Scientific method: noun; a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century, consisting in systematic observation, measurement, and experiment, and the formulation, testing, and modification of hypotheses.

The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

Did they already put an astronot on Mars, @joecavalry, there is a man in that image.

@MayCaesar look at this "Real Time" video of NASA's Mars (which supposedly is 54.6 million km from NASA) landing:

They forgot all about the "time-delay", and opened the shoots, and everything else in real-time!
Or maybe like @Erfisflat mentioned about the AstroNOT or guy hiding behind a rock was doing all the controlling!?

See the hugs and pats on the back in the video? That's for pocketing another 2.5 billion dollars for giving us evolving apes some cheap, very cheap red tinted photos of our desert.
Time 1:01:00 got to be the worst acting in NASA theatrical history!
