Imagine your series of experiences in life as a path towards the ultimate destination (death). You are driving over that path with a full gas tank. At any moment, you can stop the car and turn off the engine (commit suicide). Otherwise, your path will end when the gas tank is empty (natural death).

The reasons you are driving over this path can be anything - but as long as you have a single reason to keep driving, committing suicide is irrational, since it prevents you from reaching your destination.

As I am driving over this path, I am always curious: what is at the next corner? What will I see an hour later? What new experiences will I get? I like exploring the path of life, it is enjoyable to me, hence I keep driving it and see no reason to stop.

It will be different for different people, however. I doubt you can find a single reason for not committing suicide that would apply to every single individual.
