I for years wanted to respect Law Enforcement, but i've read and seen to much, they are supposed to serve and protect, and as an old disabled man, i live in constant fear, because i no longer am able to defend myself in any way other than dialing the phone , but I've read so many horror stores seen so many videos of unbelievable abuse, beatings shootings rapes, how is it in any way possible to feel anything but anger and fear? https://www.alternet.org/2019/03/court-of-appeals-upholds-your-right-to-flip-off-law-enforcement/

Serve and protect what?

Law Enforcement is a job description of a lawyer not a police officer, officers of the law serve a constitution. Meaning a basic principle in connection and context to legal precedent. Not the actual written law. We the people and the officers of the law share this burden equally as a united State. If you are an American or are in United States territory. The difference is that only one side displays this public commitment in writing. An example of how to start a process and file a grievance possibly?

By the way the court of appeals in whole truth did not uphold a right to flip off as united state. A Court of appeals simple approved that hand jesters are a suitable public method of filing a grievance as a united state. The idevigaual surcimstance may have warrant that decision. Keep in mind in reality what a person who is flipping off an officer of the judicial separation, this a united state description of whole truth, is doing, is admitting, has displayed, they no longer serve or protect their side of united state constitution.  

The constant public reminder in the age of lottery and gambling. All issues of cost, and self-value are not directly related to the dollar. The Federal Reeve Note is a Receipt of legal tender. Meaning basically some exchanges are cost and display of self-value in the public.

Using the gesture as classless as it is should be allowed under freedom of speech. 

Is it the wisest thing to do?  Probably not. 

What's the point?  If you have a grievence then file it.  Why make things worse for yourself if you happen to come across an officer who is, for lack of a better word, being a jerk.

As for being afraid of law enforcement because of all you hear and see on tv.  Try to relax because the majority of officers truley are there for your protection and will come to help not harm you if you call.
