Will the origin and/or initiation of the origin of our existence always be beyond our comprehension?
in Philosophy

The origin of the initiation and/or the initiation of the origin of our existence is something that Science continues to endeavor to find out. However, I am not sure this will ever be achieved because we mere human beings are part of the very problem that we're trying to solve. It seems like it is akin to a computer trying to find out how and/or why it came to be, and while it may find out even more things about itself the answer to that question/s will never be answered.

What do you think?

The unexamined thought is not worth thinking.

I agree with your assessment , as humans we love solving or attempting to solve things it’s remarkable to think that everyone before us has possibly thought about this question and no one has so far supplied the solution.

Maybe on our last breath the answer becomes crystal clear to us as at least that’s what I often imagine because I would dearly love to know

At one time a round Earth was beyond comprehension, a germ was beyond comprehension, gravity was beyond comprehension. Today, we STILL have "flat Earthers …. beyond comprehension …….. ;-)

As Feynman pointed out many times, such questions are by their very design cannot be answered in a finite way. No matter how deep you dig in the search for origin, there will always be a question of, "Well, what is the origin of that? What is the origin of the origin of that? What is the....", and so on.

We probably will be able to one day understand how humans came to be, and even perform experiments in the lab replicating the appearance of humans. But as soon as we start digging into the "why" of it, we will have an infinite well of knowledge in front of us to be explored.

If you are asking for the cause of our existence - we exist merely because, at the instant of the Big Bang, the laws of physics, space, and time commenced. And by accident, this process put Earth in a perfect position to support life. Our existence is simply the product of a natural sequence of events - and life happened to evolve on this planet because the conditions were suitable. It happened with pure chance. And it was also by pure chance that we weren't destroyed by the calamities on Earth over a long period of time.

If you are asking for the purpose of our existence - we exist because of nature, and nature has no meaning nor purpose. Therefore, humans attempted to bring order on this planet as a means to make meaning to our existence. "We" are the ones that develop our own meaning and purpose - we exist for reasons that we believe we exist. Therefore, everyone has a different reason.
